Tired of receiving unimaginative and unwanted gifts, weary of trawling dozens of unconnected online shops hunting out presents for people not helpful enough to provide a gift list, we decided that we needed a wish list website to do it all for us. Lazy? Maybe…

A hunt for wish list websites left us frustrated. The few wishlist sites that existed were either confusing or missed vital ingredients. Hard to please? Maybe…

An upcoming birthday party showed us one missing element we hadn’t previously considered: party planning. After all, you want a party at which everybody can give you the gifts from your wish list…

And so giveamonkey began…and grew…and grew… It turned out we weren’t lazy, and being hard to please has a definite advantage.

What had been a simple wish list became a source for gift ideas, a direct link to buy gifts, a party planner, a venue finder, and an event organiser with the ability to send party invitations and store and share photographs. All for free.

Why give a monkey’s? Because we do.

giveamonkey means you’ll never be stuck for gift ideas again. Make as many gift lists as you like – Christmas wish lists, birthday wish lists, wedding wish lists, ‘just because’ wish lists – there’s no limit. We want you to get the gifts you want and let you choose gifts for your friends and family you know will be valued.

We also want your party to become an event, and your event the stuff of legend. So at giveamonkey you can use our party planner feature to organise any event you care to host. We give you maps, invitations, comment space and the chance to share your photos and videos with all your friends.
