1. Click the red button ‘create a wishlist’ on the home page
2. Enter a title for your wish list i.e. Christmas 2009
3. (Optional) Enter a description of your wish list e.g. I’d be grateful for any of these gifts!
4. Select whether you would like your wish list to be public (anyone can view) or private (by invitation only)
5. Click the red ‘save’ button

1. Go to your profile and select the wish list you want to remove
2. Beside the wish list you will see two options: edit and delete
3. Edit allows you to make changes to your wish list and remove specific items
4. To remove the whole wish list, press ‘delete’
5. A box will appear asking if you are sure, and giving you the options ‘yes’ or ‘no’. Selecting ‘yes’ will delete your wish list

Note that deleting a wish list or item from a wish list cannot be reversed automatically.        

There are three easy ways to add products to your wish lists

1. Browse and add from our gifts
2. Use the Gifter monkey  tool
3. Browse and add from the web

1. Go to the wishlist you want to share
2. Select  ‘Embed your wishlist…’ on the righthand side
3. This will bring up the code is provided in either PHP or Javascript.
4. Simply copy and paste the relevant code
5. You will see towards the bottom of the page links to facebook, myspace etc and their icons. Select the site you wish to display your wish list link on, and follow the instructions that appear
6. Or if you have a blog or your own site just paste the code into the relevant part of your page

1. First you need to have created an event
2. On your specific event page there is a red button – Click the ‘create wishlist’ button towards to the top right of the page
3. A new page opens. Here you can either choose an existing wish list, or create a new one for this event
4. If you are creating a new wish list, give it a meaningful title, and a description
5. Click the red ‘save’ button

1. Click on an existing wish list, or create a new list
2. In the top left of your screen you will see four red links. The fourth link is ‘add a pledge request’. Click this link
3. You are now on the ‘add a pledge’ page. Select your pledge type from the first drop-down menu – either a pledge for friends to give to you, or a pledge for friends to give to others (a charity pledge)
4. If you select a pledge for yourself, you can either choose one of the suggested pledges from the next drop-down menu, or create your own. If you wish to create your own, tick the ‘add your own pledge’ button, and then enter the pledge details in the box provided. Then click ‘save’
5. If you want your friends to make a charitable donation, select ‘pledges I would like you to give to others’ from the first drop-down menu. You can then select a charity from the next drop-down menu
6. Then you MUST tick ‘add your own pledge’. Two new boxes will appear – you can enter a title e.g. please donate £10, and then in the URL box give the website address of the charity where your friends can make their donation. Then click ‘save’

You can import contacts from an online email account address book e.g. Yahoo, or from your desktop-based email application e.g. Microsoft Outlook

Online email account

1. Click on ‘my contacts’ at the top of the giveamonkey page
2. Select the online account from which you wish to import addresses e.g. AOL
3. Enter your user name for that account (not the full email address)
4. Enter your password (we do not see, store or record your passwords)
5. Select any or all of the email addresses you wish to add
6. Click ‘save’

Desktop email application

1. Click on ‘my contacts’ at the top of the giveamonkey page
2. Click on the red ‘create group’ button at the top of the section
3. Name your group e.g. friends, family, colleagues etc
4. Click ‘submit’
5. You are now in the ‘groups’ tab of your contacts page. Select the name of your group to add contacts from your existing list of contacts. Contacts can be assigned to more than one group

Note that you can only add existing contacts to groups. New contacts must be created as individual contacts before being added to a group

1. Click on your wish list
2. Click on the red link ‘invite people’. This can be found in the upper centre of the page under the heading ‘invite your contacts’
3. A new page will open, defaulting to the tab ‘send invites’. Select the email addresses of the people you wish to receive your wish list
4. In the box below, you may edit the wording of the email invite your friends receive
5. Select whether you want your friends to be able to reserve items on your wish list. This will prevent others buying you the same gift
6. Press the red ‘send’ button

1. Click on the events button
2. Click on the ‘my events’ tab
3. Select your event if you have created more than one; if you have only one, it will appear automatically
4. Click on ‘send invites’. This can be found on the left-hand side of the page, just below the picture box
5. A new page will open, defaulting to the tab ‘send invites’. Select the email addresses of the people you wish to receive your wish list
6. In the box below, you may edit the wording of the email invite your friends receive
7. Select whether you want to receive an email when someone responds to an invite, and choose whether you want invitees to be able to post comments, photos and videos, and invite their own friends
8. Press the red ‘send’ button

1. Click on the red events button towards the top of the page
2. On the events page that appears, press the red ‘create an event’ button
3. Complete the form – the red asterisks show fields which must be completed immediately in order to save your event
4. The venue can be any location you choose. Alongside the venue field you can ‘select from our database’, which will show you the various hotspots we recommend, or ‘choose another venue’, where you can add your own venue details
5. The final button defaults to ‘private event’. If yours is an event which is open for the whole world to see, press ‘public events’
6. Press the red ‘save’ button

1. Events can only be deleted from your profile page. Click on ‘my profile’ at the top of the page
2. Scroll down to the events section. Click on the ‘delete event’ button alongside the event you want to remove
3. A box will appear asking if you are sure, and giving you the options ‘yes’ or ‘no’. Selecting ‘yes’ will delete the event
